Ironically, when I was first considering ordination, my bishop asked me what I saw as the end-goal of my ministry. I somewhat glibly said “canon theologian”. She did not laugh. So, Bishop Shane, just know that we’re out here and waiting.

I live in a city with a debilitating amount of NIMBYism when it comes to housing. Every single time I read a thread on people defending the encampments, there are people who say, “Well, if you’re such a bleeding heart, why don’t you let someone camp in your backyard.” (1/3)

Well in the sense that the “glory days” of Anglicanism are mostly rife with colonialism, racism, and sexism, yes, I do hope they’re over. In the sense that the world needs to still hear the Gospel and be Christ in the world, I sure as shit hope we’re not done growing.
