12.09.2025 14:39 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Psst the Konami Code is often written as a series of arrows interspersed with AB as needed
12.09.2025 14:37 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0“Manifest” is the language of the present pseudo-Deism. It is not the language of Christian orthodoxy nor orthopraxy

09.09.2025 02:05 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It’s because they see the literal lives of the poor, foreigners, and ppl who they simply don’t like as fundamentally less important than the temporary comforts and prosperity of their peers

07.09.2025 02:04 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0And for Christians there’s a difference between praying for the downfall of antigospel and antichrist affections/spiritual influences vs actively praying for the death and destruction of sinners
Love your neighbor which includes your enemy
I’ve said it before somewhere but humanity falling under the spell of the utterly stupidest Antichrist delusion would be extremely On Brand
We traded away the Garden for a really good looking fruit
At least part of the shame of those facing the second death will be how easily they were duped
Which ofc is more horrible
It really is Left Behind but as farce
Like God went “hey you guys were so worried about a popular antichrist from the left so I’m going to let a dumber less plausible false messiah arise that strokes your priors”
Either way I don’t think he actually buys into it, I think he just gets off on being somebody’s hero
01.09.2025 02:15 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I *may* be a little heated over this whole Left Behind except as farce dealio
01.09.2025 02:14 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Except I think depending on the specific Gnosticism isn’t the demiurge like the evil creator god a la Marcionism? So he *is* the messiah in their view if they weren’t so cowardly as to seek to use the crucified Jesus as a human-divine shield
01.09.2025 02:12 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 1Everyone knows the true gospel is told only to level 99 adherents of Master Mani’s sacred school

Yes, I’m just unconvinced that he actually views himself as part of Q so much as just the object of their adoration
His whole thing is he’s a winner, not an adherent of an esoteric apocalyptic cult
In short, vile competitive messianic posturing, absolutely; 47 joined a neo-gnostic cult… I’m unconvinced
Ofc if I’m taking you entirely too literally/seriously and this is just good-natured poasting please ignore me
Meh, I think it’s pandering of the highest order to QAnon (Q in left hand, vague references to the Storm/What is Coming, pseudo-apocalyptic imagery) but mostly just his Imperator wannabe schtick as per usual.
Also, all kinds of indicators that he is just sharing what someone else made
WSJ, weirdly enough, has been surprisingly robust in challenging the administration’s narratives
Dunno how much I would say they are the paper “of record”
⚓️ We had a (conditional) baptism this morning… young man who grew up non-denom, baptized according to Acts 2:38, very uncertain about whether his baptism was valid. One of the very few instances I agree with “rebaptism” though I think this was mainly about removing scruples and ambiguity

31.08.2025 19:25 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0A quite important distinction! And I also struggle with that intercession-focused prayer and treating God as the unjust judge (completely misunderstanding the intent of the parable)
31.08.2025 18:01 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I think I latched onto the Prosperity gospel piece. The reduction of prayer to the purely transactional is indeed a common issue.
31.08.2025 14:43 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I apologize, I realize I should have stopped at the request for the Fr’s teaching rather than supply a personal anecdote.
I wasn’t trying to “prove” anything, just supplying an example where I regularly pray for direct intervention and it certainly seems that God hears & grants my petitions.
Ok yes, I agree with that, and certainly some of those fly under the banner of evangelical Protestantism (and are uncomfortably ascendant under the current regime). My gentle pushback is that those are comparatively small but incredibly vocal voices within the evangelical millieu
