This week I signed the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Book of Commitment – honouring the six million Jewish men, women and children murdered during the Holocaust and paid tribute to the millions of Eastern Europeans, Romani, LGBT, disabled people were murdered in the Holocaust.

Today is Blue Monday, the statistically most depressing day of the year and to help my mental health as well as raise awareness for the 4.5 years difference in life expectancy between men and women I ran 4.5k with 45lbs on my back.

Amazing to attend the official opening of the new Abbey Meads dental practice building. Ebrahim gave a truly inspiring talk about the work he and his team have been doing over the past 20 years, including an initiative to provide free screenings for primary school aged children across the town.

Following my meeting with Paul Skivington from UK Para-Jiu-Jitsu this week, I raised the importance of getting more disabled children involved in sport in the Chamber. It was great to hear how government programmes are supporting inclusivity.

Great to have Stu from SD Associates, a local Swindon business, in Parliament to discuss how we can connect the dots and strengthen Swindon’s emerging ecosystem.

Today I took part in the weekly Page-Turning Ceremony. This is a new meaningful tradition of remembrance that began in May 2025. Each week, a name is read from the Books of Remembrance commemorating and honouring Members, sons, daughters and servants of the House of Commons.

Following work I took part in following experiences with Guide Dogs and a number of disabled constituents, I'm incredibly pleased to see the government announce plans to develop powers which will enable local transport authorities to prohibit pavement parking in their areas.

It was a real pleasure to bring Paul Skivington a Para-jiu-jitsu athlete to parliament.

Alongside his competitive career, Paul teaches children and adults of all ages and abilities, developing his own syllabus to support and empower disabled athletes.

Great to meet with General Aeronautical, to discuss future opportunities in Swindon ✈️

Our conversation focused on Swindon’s role within the M4 defence corridor and how the town’s manufacturing heritage and connectivity could support next-generation aerospace and defence technologies.

Wonderful to have the team from Ondas Capital to Parliament.

It’s encouraging to see innovative companies recognising Swindon as a place to build, collaborate, and scale. We look forward to continuing the conversation and exploring what this could mean for local businesses and skills.
