Honored to have gotten third place in this year's Small World in Motion competition. And yes, I did take this movie myself! Sometimes you have to go back into the lab and show them that you've still got it.

When I was at Emory, the students used to go to Capitol Hill and meet with Congress. One of them told the students it was easy to cut science funding because all we did in response was call and send emails.

I was impressed with SiR-XActin: similar labeling of F-actin as Lifeact, didn't detectably alter actin dynamics, and because it can remain in solution while imaging, photobleaching is not a major concern (Below, LA required correction, SiR-Xactin did not). Happy to have played a small part in this!
