M101 – The Pinwheel Galaxy in HaLRGB
A face-on spiral galaxy 21 million light-years away in Ursa Major. This HaLRGB image blends natural colour with hydrogen-alpha data to reveal star-forming regions across its vast, detailed arms.

The Cave Nebula
Located approximately 2,400 light-years away in the constellation Cepheus, the Cave Nebula (Sh2-155) is a striking region of ionized gas and dust, shaped by the intense radiation of nearby hot, young stars. #Astrophotography #CaveNebula #Sharpless155 #Nebulae #HubblePalette

This LRGB image captures M78, a stunning reflection nebula in Orion, 1,350 light-years away. Its blue glow comes from starlight scattering off interstellar dust, surrounded by dark lanes and young stars.

Welcome to 2025! My first images of M1 the Crab Nebula in both SHO and FORAXX palettes. The SHO image is my preferred one despite not getting the colours as I'd like. Moving onto some LRGB targets next, weather permitting 🌨 #astrophotography #astronomy

A colourful nebula of gold and brown on a blue background that resembles an elephants head and trunk, some people also suggest it looks like a person walking into the mist. The stars have been removed from this image to show only the nebulousity

This is my image of the Elephants Trunk Nebula which is part of the larger #IC1396 Nebula. 24 hrs total exposure using H-alpha, [SII] and [OIII] filters. This is a starless version using the free Starnet++ sw to remove the stars. #Astrophotography #nebula #space #astronomy

My final version of the Wizard Nebula in SHO with RGB stars. Would have loved to get more data on the nebula but the weather had other ideas!

No, this is a SHO or Hubble Palette image. A true colour image would have a lot of red with some blue in it. The Hubble Palette tends to bring out the details and contrast more than a true colour image. Hope that helpsπŸ‘

Cosmic Question Mark reprocessed 🌌

Captured amidst the vastness of space the intricate blend of colours, from dark veils of dust to glowing gas, serves as a reminder of how many questions the universe still holds.
