So grateful that I saw the wonderful Jane Goodall speak about her life and passion, she was utterly inspirational both as a scientist and as a fantastic example of a woman who worked hard to find her niche through a squiggly (early) career, amazing woman❤️

I run counter-melon. Have only ever slightly partially enjoyed watermelon refreshment on exceptionally hot days and experienced others as perfumed nonsense water. But recently ate accidental squishy horror in extremis for hot weather relief and it was *glorious*

I was persuaded to watch the Dollars Trilogy last week. I thought #westerns were a bit of a joke, honestly, the Sunday afternoon TV tat of my childhood. Consider me a convert - 'The Good, The Bad and the Ugly' is a bloody masterpiece, I'm all in now, a whole new genre unexplored (soundtracks too)!

I described it today, while urging colleagues to watch it, as 'the drama Nicole Kidman has been trying to star in.' The relaxed pace and great character development shouts that it was based on a play, loved it 😌

I spent a beautiful afternoon with this book a couple of years ago - when I started listening I was doing the housework but by the time it ended I'd been sitting on the living room floor for the last hour, completely wrapped up in it.

Tomorrow's repotting day! Left all my #houseplants to grow last year but shears are sharpened & decisions to make. Repot or chop & prop? We'll see tomorrow! Some are repots - Thanksgiving cactus grown from seed & crassula propped from a six leaf drop found on floor. The rest? We'll see 😁

Yes - midges, gnats, flies of all sorts and loads of hover flies and similar insects, and honey & bumblebees too. I'm in an urban area, pleased to see every single one of them 😌

Erasure at an 80s line-up fest soon after COVID, only carried by the crowd. Horribly disappointed, I was so looking forward to them as a nostalgia trip (I know, 80s was a long time ago...) Conversely, Nik Kershaw, Thompson Twins were fantastic & Marc Almond shocked with a bang-on, in tune set.
