Yup. Congress is no longer needed... no war will be declared.
Trump says he'll just kill people.

But he can also very easily be overridden in a vote, too.
He currently owns 8.4% of Amazon. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
I really do think he has a half dozen other ventures he's focused on.
Are we blaming Bezos for these layoffs too?

Oof. Sometimes FB memories hit hard.
Guess we know how this went, eventually. ๐

28.10.2025 17:24 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Everyone with Amazon stock is profiting off it.
My point is, he isn't making those decisions. He's busy messing up Slate, and WaPo, and Blue Origin; none of which Amazon has anything to do with.
30K jobs lost (or repositioned) is all Andy Jassy, not Bezos.
All I mean is we need to stop blaming Bezos for Amazon actions, and stop blaming Amazon for Bezos decisions; because they can both truthfully deny any involvement in said decisions, by their former partners. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
28.10.2025 17:15 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Just trying to focus the attacks.
I also don't really get how people both cheer and curse the possible loss of 30K jobs.
Bezos is bad for laying them off (he didn't) but also, 30K less wealthy people, yay?
How does that work?
That is the most hilarious thing I will read today, though.
How funny that you think calling for targeted, focused attacks is "bootlicking".
I don't want collateral damage.
Naw dude. I want snipers instead of grenades.
FOCUS.
OF COURSE! But he isn't the one deciding that. He has some votes, just like other shareholders. But he's not in charge.
All I'm saying is the actual CEO is probably loving the misdirection, because hardly anyone knows his name.
But he's the one donating to ballrooms while cutting thousands of jobs.
Bezos didn't decide to lay off 30K workers.
And Amazon had nothing to do with WaPost firings.
Just trying to keep this anger focused like a laser beam, instead of a machine gun.
Media seems to be using the terms "Bezos" and "Amazon" interchangeably.
They are not the same, and haven't been for years.
Focusing rage for Amazon at Bezos (and vice versa) does little, because they're separate entities now. They can claim, maybe justifiably, ignorance about the other.
Financial ties, yes.
But Bezos hasn't been running Amazon since 2021, and major media isn't mentioning that either.
FYI, Bezos hasn't run Amazon since 2021.
28.10.2025 16:48 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Bezos hasn't run Amazon for nearly 4 years now. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Andy Jassy has been CEO this whole time.
He also stepped down from Amazon CEO in 2021.
He isn't making any of these decisions.
