This isn't true. It's a reflection of how the "health insurance" category in CPI is just the profit margin of insurers. All medical spending (and thus, most premiums) are reflected in "Medical Care Services", which the data shows have increased a lot over the last year (6.9%

To be specific, the "health insurance" category is weighted at 0.89% of all CPI. Medical care services plus hospital services (paid mostly by insurance), is 9.5% of all CPI.

This whole data series doesn't reflect premiums. It reflects health insurer margins. Most of health care premiums are reflected in other medical care services and medical care commodities in CPI.

That isn't an accurate reflection of the data. This data reflects health insurance *margins* as the cost of medical care services/commodities are largely baked into premiums.
