if it makes you feel better I completely finished this game and this was probably my least favorite thing in it!

the story of the 2XKO "hype cycle" roller coaster is basically just that people got frustrated with such big gaps between updates and alpha tests that they started turning on the game HARD. then as soon as it was actually available to play in closed beta everyone said "oh wait no it's really fun :)"
