06.10.2025 07:17 โ ๐ 8161 ๐ 662 ๐ฌ 69 ๐ 17This happened to me, and 6 months later I was diagnosed with ADHD. Thought I was going deaf but audiologist said my hearing was perfect. You would think in that scenario an audiologist should be suggesting you consider being tested for possible neurodivergence.
13.06.2025 09:38 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thanks for sharing this because I feel this too - and wonder if the meds are doing anything, but at least doing basic tasks don't feel like swimming through tar anymore
18.05.2025 12:23 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0At a broader level this should also apply to disability accommodations, however I've recently experienced the latter with support options not really being fit for purpose. Many organisations unfortunately only offer the bare minimum to meet obligations.
25.04.2025 12:16 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0For some people the Loop might be ok, but I've read quite a lot of people online who didn't like them for the same reason as me, so I guess it's just something to be aware of if you think that would be an issue for you
24.04.2025 09:01 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It was the OG however the difference between Loop and Flare is that the Loop fills your ear canal like a regular ear plug so when you talk it feels like you are taking under water, but Flare is a tube that makes your canal narrower so you can still hear yourself talk normally.
24.04.2025 09:00 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I tried the engage and found they blocked the sound of my own voice too much and made talking with them in awkward and uncomfortable. I find Flare Calmer better for reducing some noise but not completely blocking the ear canals so talking feels quite natural.

31.12.2024 22:43 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Text from a news article saying ""It comes after a friend said Wallace had "no filter" and claimed he may have autism himself. Wallace has never been tested for autism due to a feeling of responsibility that he passed it down to his son, the close therapist friend said. They said they believed it may have contributed towards his alleged inappropriateness on set."
People need to stop using being autistic as an excuse for being an arsehole. It just embeds misleading stereotypes.
Yes, being autistic can mean you find social interactions difficult, I know I can.
It doesn't mean you default to walking around with a sock on your c**k.
