Getting a weapon with a longer combo by playing some Free Mode first is always a good shout

DW3 is a game that relies much more on levelling up generals than the rest of the series. Unless you're playing someone whose Musou Mode starts off with The Yellow Turbans or Hu Lao Gate, your first level is probably going to be brutal to beat with a fresh character.
