Haha same! I've struggled with the Fireman and Nos4a2. I feel like they are almost too Stephen Kingy for me. Which isn't a bad thing, but I just haven't been in the mood for that type of writing in quite a while

I know I'm an old woman yelling at clouds, and WOTC will continue to make infinite money, but selling my collection feels more right every day, cause if SpiderMan and FF sets can't engage me, no UB one will

Like I'm a HUGE Spiderman and Final Fantasy fan, and I just didn't feel engaged with the sets at all, I thought it was cool to see Terra as a card or story beats represented, but it was all lore I already knew. It was like a Family Guy Episode, all references and no substance.

Then with the Internet, the cards were less important since you could read the stories online, but I would still get excited to open cards to see how they were represented. War of the Spark and the All in One story line was the most engaged I'd ever been in spoilers and made me excited for the cards

I remember pre Internet being excited for new sets and looking carefully at each card for story beats to find out what was going on with the weatherlight crew, and being floored when I saw huge story moments in cards. It made even common cards engaging for me.

I pretty much only play mtg on my phone, and I don't have a problem with UB, but it's definitely a bummer to see it becoming the norm rather than the exception. It makes them feel less special, and makes me miss the days of multi block stories. Without the stories, it's hard for me to get excited.

I love Trick R Treat. It's probably my favorite Halloween movie to watch every year

I need to sell my Magic Collection, but it's so daunting, and I get nostalgic, because I've played the game off and on since I was 10.
