I'm not too interested in a commander variant but at least one person in my playgroup is actively boycotting UB products. I think that speaks to some people's sheer annoyance with the percentage of UB, it in standard, premium pricing, etc

The cool thing about Magic the Gathering is how it uses the mechanics to tell the story of a card. Final Fantasy is also a series invested in developing a narrative through mechanics. The Spider-Man set is “what if Spider-Man was here”

The human error of not shuffling correctly and randomizing your deck? It just seems like a lot of extra steps to just shuffle your whole deck after all these piles. And if pile shuffling distributes your lands better, that is not randomization
