It's a great horned owl. They're generally about 2' tall. We have a local population which I would really like to encourage to visit my yard. Along with the red-tailed hawks, of which we also have a local population not in my yard. I'm about 3 blocks west of MSP airport.

There are a few chippies about. But a LOT of skwirls. Like, I am seriously considering putting up a hawk perch lot of skwirls. Part of the problem is that my neighbor cut down all her trees so the skwirls have moved to my yard. I counted 27 at one point.
