Black and white comics can be printed for cheap on regular pulp paper, but modern digitally colored comics need the thick glossy stuff. Making up the difference costs more than readers are will pay

Finally replaced the old cat tree that's been lovingly scratched to death. Misty immediately approved. I suspect that dangling toy won't last a day -- they never do.

Can't show the individual entries because some of it's still under an NDA, but this habit's done wonders for my feeling of accomplishment this year. It kept me on-track with more freelance work than I've ever taken on before, and eventually led me to the pair of personal projects I'm focued on now.

Last year I set myself a simple goal as a New Year's resolution: write something, every day. To hold myself accountable I set up a spreadsheet to track how much I wrote every day and what it was for.

As in, literally depressing. The way our minds are wired, the quick dopamine spike from generating things comes with dopamine valleys that make people feel worse overall.

It’s like eating too many sweets and gambling. It can legitimately be bad for us just by its very nature.
