The statement is distastefully plastered with logos for Nintendo and Nintendo Switch 2, as well as with a render of Mario from Mario Kart World.

I'm all for ambiguous mechanics for players to figure out, but there is a minimum amount of information you need to give in a strategy game so that strategies can be formed

Mewgenics is another game on my list of "Roguelikes I really wish weren't roguelikes"

It is a good game
But the locked progression forcing you to end a run early makes it even more annoying to fight the same first boss 5 times in a row even without losing a run

Noita's early game is a slog and the late game can get repetitive, but the mid game imo starts right after the snowy depths & it's a masterpiece from there until you get the game breaking builds

It's worth learning how to break past it as so much opens up

I hit a similar problem, but it's showing up on Steam for me after refreshing. Maybe it's just Steam being slow?

I've been following this game since it's conception - the lead dev has a really strong understanding of FPS game design & I highly recommend checking it out

Yeah RPG mechanics never scale too well with action game movesets as the stats either mean "if you're underleveled, every enemy is a damage sponge" or "if you're underleveled, your character doesn't feel fun to control"

Haven't played a Final Fantasy game since 5 tho, so idk about 16 :P

Most turn based & real time RPGs are equally horribly designed, but real time RPGs don't give you as much time to think about how bad the game is while turn based games let you sit & question your life choices

The good ones are good for both genres, but the bad turn based ones are more apparent

I did this thing the week I found out how to get models from MGS2, no fancy rigs, but yes fancy compositing setup

Improve the lighting on the bullets a bit, and they now all unload at the same time when ending your turn

I've seen some similar projects, but IMO this seems to better capture some of the fine-grained detail
