My last day of work was on the 10th of this month. I rested/slept most of the next 2 days. Since the 13th, I have been trying to get my and my spouse's retiree health insurance from my former employer. I've spent 15 days jumping through hoop after hoop. I feel like I'm still working full-time.

Tangentially related: A lot of homeowners here in Dallas routinely challenge their property taxes/home values because they're "outrageously high". (the taxes, not the homeowners) Our neighbors are shocked that we don't. Sorry, but we like having things like trash pickup, libraries, and schools.
