I'd say they're also unable to process the fact that jokes about violence are still threatening even if they're "just jokes," but they're perfectly able to process that when the jokes are directed at *them*

people seem really unable to process that not every single person on earth knows and trusts you or your friends, especially people you're being openly hostile toward?

people have also lost all sense of proportion about what is "threatening"/"a death threat"/whatever and decided it's purely vibes-based. that's not how it works! idt the person sending the meme in question was literally saying "I'm going to murder you" but that doesn't make it not threatening!

"I'm not touching you" is exactly it. and then the appeal where they pretend to be super naïve and claim it wasn't meant to have any threatening connotations makes it that much worse tbh

"democrats are incapable of winning power and allergic to using it" is a genuinely stupid thing to say on the topic of the essentially-100%-democratic oregon government swiftly and effectively fighting trump's attempts to invade us. tbh a "fuck you" moment for me
