I wouldn't be surprised if Buffet was more a fan of Melinda than Bill in the end. She's been very positive about Warren Buffet, even after he pulled back his previous promise to donate to the foundation after his death.

I was talking to a coworker yesterday about how difficult it is to manage devs who begin using AI because they quality of their work drops and it's tough to get them to improve because any feedback you give doesn't make it to their AI model.

It's always struck me how little empirical evidence there is that AI actually saves time, given how widely accepted the idea seems to be.

No company has more motivation to prove it than Anthropicβ€”yet their own study confirms the speed gain is not only insignificant, but carries *steep* penalties.

Calling the movie Melania has had the hilarious unintended consequence of not always knowing if their are critiquing the film or her character.

And to clarify, I'm a big fan of fluoridated toothpaste! It's just not a public health measure

Fluoridated toothpaste is more prone to injury than fluoridated water. A child could eat a tube of toothpaste and get sick. There is essentially no risk of fluoride damage from fluoridated water.

You're just wrong about this.

We have 80 years of evidence that *fluoridated water* has had major positive impacts for oral healthβ€”an estimated 40 to 70% reduction in cavities, equivalent to over $6 billion in savings in dental care.

Relying on personal action is not the same.

Petition to ban the use of β€œwhere did you put ___?” in long term relationships.

Needlessly accusatory when something is lost and potentially starts an argument when you’re just trying to find something.

Just ask β€œdo you know where ___ is?” since that is the ACTUAL thing you want.

I feel like a lot of these replies are forgetting that November is a midterm. The Supreme Court is not going to intervene in dozens of state races. States are not going to give a crap what Bondi says.

AT WORST rep elects could face issues taking office after the election.

I remember during the last election, when international poll observers came to the US for the first time, they said the distributed nature of our election process was a logistical nightmare for them but also an enormous strength for our electoral process.

The protein obsession has always read, from my perspective, as a combination of fragile masculinity (because everything is gendered, protein=boys and plants=girls) and meat industry propaganda.

It’s never been based in real nutrition science

Let’s be clear: if any other president at any other point in history had done this, they be impeached and out of office by the end of the month.

This is heinous.

Playing Assassin’s Creed II for the first time and it’s really good, but man has never been a more 00’s game.

Sci-fi nonsense, parkour, knights of the templar bullshit, AND Leonardo da Vinci?

It may as well be called Assissin’s National Da Vinci Code of Treasure Matrix.

Voters should pick their representatives, not the other way around. Glad to get the chance to talk to some of the volunteers and organizers doing the hard work to make sure Prop 50 passes. This vote will have critical implications, not just for California, but for our entire country.

You know when you buy the cheapest version of a product, thinking it'll save you time/money, but it turns out the cheap version sucks so hard you just throw it away and spend even more on the thing you should've just bought in the first place?

That's what starting a coding project with AI is like.
