This probably comes as a total surprise, seeing as I am “the suit guy”, but I have spent the past year or so collecting all the vintage Andre Agassi Nike “Air Tech Challenge” line of sneakers. However, one happy note this time around is I played this exclusively on the train to/from my new job, and I thought a lot about my final days with my mom. Even though she had terminal cancer, she insisted I go to Japan to study abroad, because she wanted me to grow, and I wish she could see me now.

It’s a great game, but no matter where I play it, be it GameCube, Wii U or Switch 2, and now matter how much time goes by, I still get flashbacks to that dark period.

Finished Wind Waker on Switch 2 this morning, and I have such bittersweet feelings towards this game. While I was playing the original GameCube release my mother learned she had stage 4 cancer and I have vivid memories of zoning out and aimlessly sailing around the map in an effort to escape reality

Wednesday: Have an extremely busy day at work on account of a Mark Rothko exhibit being installed in my office, end the day at a cocktail party held to commemorate the exhibition opening, and ended up discussing suits with a former Japanese prime minister.

Tuesday: Up at the crack of dawn to head to Tokyo Disney.

Immediately start drinking at 9am, have another 15 drinks over the course of the day, all the while riding all the rides I want to, and discovering new areas of the park that I never knew existed.

*Goes home and sleeps for three hours*

Perhaps the craziest 72 hours of my life happened this week.

Monday: While wearing a tuxedo, I’m dancing to Dr. Mario music being played in the club by the original composer until early in the morning, all while downing somewhere around 15 drinks.

One line I always felt was odd in Return of the Jedi is when Lando is flying inside the second Death Star, and he says "Lock onto the strongest power source, it SHOULD be the power generator." SHOULD be? Was the rebel alliance expecting a power source stronger than a planet sized mega weapon?
