Delighted to see some Blue Moon recognition which was my biggest surprise at the cinema last year

Seems it’s up to folk to blacklist those reporters or news outlets if they don’t start confronting the lies

It’s been a while since I read her and this, her first novel, is new to me. Glorious how she can take a seedy world and invest it with baroque colouring so it feels enchanting. Feels somewhat like a Ken Russell film in that way

These videos are a regular January highlight and a reminder of how rich and varied the movies remain. You don’t have to agree with the choices (Naked Gun??) but the skill with which these are put together will give you a blast

Totally agree about Zhao being responsible for those performances. Even Mescal’s manner of walking in the early scenes felt forced and unnatural but all a part of her gameplan

Good to see Blue Moon on here - underrated and overlooked elsewhere

Those three stars are still quite kind I think. The film tried so hard to be primal and nature-connected but for me kept missing the mark. Everything was trying so hard. Sad to see such likeable performers succumb to ACTING!! like it was going out of fashion.

I keep thinking I’m not supposed to like this album - but frankly (with a couple of exceptions) find it ridiculously exciting. Maybe this helps explain why
