We have made assemblies and annotations for 73 common GPSCs more accessible than ever:

Annotations were generated using Bakta v1.11.4 with the v6.0 full database.

Last week I was in Beijing, China for the 5th Asia Pneumococcal Symposium! ๐จ๐ณ So many amazing talks - I learnt a lot and also recieved valuable feedback on my recent work! ๐ฅ๏ธ๐งฌ ๐งช
The next Asian Pneumococcal Symposium will be held in Chiba, Japan, in 2027 ๐ฏ๐ต I am already looking forward to it!

We sequenced pneumococcal isolates from children with pneumococcal disease in Suzhou, China, 2014-2023 ๐ฅ๏ธ๐งฌ
94% expressed serotypes in PCV13, which is not part of Chinaโs National Immunisation Programme ๐
96% were multidrug-resistant ๐ ๐งช
