This piece was an experiment to try out not just a new flower motif (Prairie Fire), but a new way of playing with colour!
I also wanted an excuse to sculpt a big jackalope as well 😛

Feeling these so strongly right now. Would really like to do art but my brain requires an unknown refactory period so I concede.

This guy was kind of difficult to photograph, and is one that translates better in-person. I wanted to recreate the shape of Korea as it's sometimes portrayed as an ascending tiger.
They kind of look like they're dancing hence their name 😂

Im Zentrum Wort stellt der VdÜ übersetzte Werke aus, und dieses Mal sind auch drei Manga dabei:

- Nagabe: Siúil, a Rún – Das fremde Mädchen, übersetzt von Miryll Ihrens
- Hideshi Hino Masterworks, übersetzt von eurem Mandelbrot

In every class I visit the kids all why I use fingerprints in my books. I ask them right back and this is what they suggested this week:

Because it's a circle
To make it beautiful
To show that it's real

They used to say "because they are all different". They still said that but first, "real"

"To show that someone has touched this", they said.
I've been a bit worried that this time around I'll find that the children want to use AI to make their pictures look "good". But they absolutely still want to think with their hands and make their mark. Of course they do.
