My sympathy to you! I had to have a total hysterectomy and the flushes hit immediately, 3 and 4 changes of nightclothes a night. It's not so bad now, but I don't think it's possible to understand how disruptive they are if you haven't had them. Or too many people just don't try.

This is the answer to so many things, deal with the problem behaviour. The problem is people, managers, whoever are terrified of doing so.

The answer is not to throw up your hands and say 'that's the way it is', but to redesign places and public transport to serve them.
