@AOC on Twitter: "From OrbΓ‘n to Trump, the rise of far-right movements is tightly coordinated and transcends borders.

So too should be our international defense of democracy and the fight for working people.

From policy to tactics, it’s time to take the gloves off and fight for our future."

Only learning about Shingy after seeing the sketch is very weird.

Its pretty cool that the last guy over there that did voter outreach is now a meme about throat explosions and all they have left are people like this speck of filth which encourages people to sit on their hands.

Its tempting to say its better then an invasion but I think its a category error to compare them.

I actually find it an extra bummer because for a long time there was virtually no one would go hard for consumer/worker rights in the video game industry so I really did appreciated her voice.

But as people who could do serious journalism showed up she didn't adjust well.

Directionally correct but off by an order of magnitude because they haven't put in the hours on the boring bits?

Not a fan of all the overheated voting discourse on here but I guess it's unavoidable since the presidential election is tomorrow

put it this way:

would you (a us socialist) trust a liberal who defended chuck schumer's decision not to endorse mamdani? or made excuses for people who abstained in that race

probably not, right?

ok, well, map that over

i've heard from a few on the us socialist left that they feel its unfair their faction has become (negatively) associated with voting abstention

& to an extent i agree - most sanders voters did vote hillary, the leadership was certainly solidly behind biden, then harris

Even a Sinema and Ro Khanna ticket would pass the test.

I loved watching that show back in the day. It was always good watercooler talk.

I wonder how much of management's excessive excitement in AI is that for the first time in over a decade that Microsoft products have a good interface via MS Copilot?

"Then the protagonist got scared and fell down and banged their head. The End."

Just watched a slow burn, haunted house, horror movie with this type of ending, and most people seemed to not like it at all. Now I wonder if this type of ending has ever worked well? I can't think of any examples.

CBS management needs to be hauled in front of Congress and made to spill every absurd and corrupt detail of this shit.

Its so few you can count them on one hand even if you did real real bad in shop class.

17.02.2026 14:31 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Yea but that one doesn't count because .... well we all know.

hot take maybe? When democrats get power they should do a thorough investigation of people like Weis, audits and subpoenas constantly.

Grandstand on the house floor and say everyone who helped the Epstein cover up is going to be ruthlessly investigated, even if you never met the guy.

Also "We can't judge them because of the standards of their time" completely ignores the contemporary debates and some of them that need to be judged were actually conflicted and knew it was wrong but couldn't find a better way.

I think the "Spartans were pedophile slavers" line has gotten through to mainstream lib-left consciousness.

But I wish more people knew "virtually all Spartan elites killed at least one uppity slave, at night, as a rite of passage into the Gestapo upper class".

True evil.

Does she really need them?
She could just ask for volunteers and one million Evelyn Normielibs would raise their hand and take an oath to do terrible things to protect the republic?

But its not a hard one.

Sure some dozen people do ride alongs but only one gets banned for doing ride alongside.

Calling people rube for not falling for a post hoc justification is a particluar sort of irony.

But was he told by anyone in those group chats?
Random screaming from people who their activism chops in Occupy and currently now live on the coast does not strike me as particularly convincing when the argument is about how my city should resist.
