lol no it is not. There is a genuine distinction between the interruption of “natural” genetic propagation via intentional human-intervention and “natural selection” based on the advantageousness of a trait. If you can’t come to terms with that then I’m afraid bias has a hold of you.

Oh yeah, massive issues within the DNC and its constituents; you won’t hear an argument from me. But to see the left called out for bigotry against the disabled when the right is notoriously callous to individual situations is mind-boggling. Google what Trump asked his nephew about his nephews son.

Sure, I’m open minded. I’ll accept any valid data and evidence when presented but all I’ve seen is loose claims and hearsay. All I see if knee jerk reactions to a comment in which I identified the OP’s mis-characterization of a political base.

Then their espousal of liberalism was at best self-serving in the interest of avoiding cognitive dissonance, and their actual political paradigm is truly right-leaning.

Would love to see a single example of a publicly espoused liberal/progressive/dem openly calling for the systematic expungement of a genotype/phenotype from the population. I’ll wait.

Go read some of the “you’re on the left which is still the right” comments and tell me there aren’t bots hanging out on blue sky. Responses that even to MAGA couldn’t possible make sense. But sure, cherry pick that portion of my response, not that which is correct and valid.

Who on the left said this? What kind of baked-in propaganda bot nest have I stirred

lol there’s a difference between genetic evolution and intentionally, systematically ensuring certain genotypes don’t propagate. These replies I just came back to are all wacky as shit. Lots of bots on this one already

No not “let’s be real;” the right is so used to its people being morally corrupt that they assume the left has the same data points. “Disabled people shouldn’t be born” is absolutely the kind of self-serving feigned pragmatism spewed by the right. Nobody on the left espouses eugenics.

Oh yes as big-time supporters of eugenics (esp. among the liberal fascists recently seen marching in DC), ”liberals and democrats” are well-known for espousing pro-choice policies not because they entail that it is a woman’s right to choose, but because they specifically hate disabled folks. Special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation wrapped up in 2019 and left no doubt that Russia had interfered in the 2016 election in sweeping and criminal fashion and that the Trump campaign had welcomed the help.

Republicans are textbook NPCs. Their entire identity is predicated on general unsophistication and resenting the cognitive dissonance of having a huge ego but being just another unimportant “character;” their need to exude independence while Guzzling down mainstream conservative media rhetoric.

Senator Bill Cassidy, a physician who voted to confirm Robert Kennedy Jr., posted this today.

True story: a few years ago, I was being interviewed by a reporter for the New York Times. I mentioned the history of eviction statutes and how they tied into Jim Crow.

The reporter asked "what's Jim Crow?"

When I explained, the reporter didn't believe me and said the US wouldn't do that.

Really? If I told you that of those who stayed home, had they voted, would have voted following the same statistical spread as the voting electorate exhibited, and as such would not have made a difference, would that change how you feel? That the functional outcome is the same regardless of the “n.”

Ironically stated considering “you have no idea who you’re talking to” is typically stated when one “has nothing” rhetorically substantive. Theres nothing less convincing than self-righteousness. Thank you for the critical warnings; please see my blog for warnings about sharks and landmines.

It’s very “nice” and easy to say that, but Dunning-Kruger would argue that the 1/3 that stayed home did so whilst unaware that there was fascism to vote against.

Yep I totally said “don’t worry guys; as long as 70% of people don’t vote for Trump, it’s impossible that we’ll experience an undermining shift in our political system.” That’s what I said right

Is it deflecting or is it poking holes in your delusions of grandeur? It isn’t the responsibility of the audience to seek the journalist. You don’t get to wash your hands of it and absolve yourself of responsibility because you whispered in a loud forum and nobody heard you. Sorry bud

I think the overarching problem isn’t with motivation or malice, it’s complacency. It’s the hive-mind “ohm” chant of “patriotism.” Why would we worry about a threat to democracy? This is the USA! *someone* would never let that happen! A logical fallacy; it has always been so, and so it shall be.

16.02.2025 03:22 — 👍 1    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

This assumes that everyone is in a position to do so. I would never berate, say, someone suicidal, or a struggling single mother for their self-awareness in knowing they don’t have the time or “bandwidth” to follow closely enough to genuinely assess the intentions of all candidates.
