The White House physician pronounced Trump in "excellent health" and attributed the President's condition to a sort of human pickling process caused by a combination of toxic narcissism, insatiable resentment, and there being no justice in a fundamentally cruel and indifferent universe.

I appreciate that, you monster.

My go-to karaoke song is whimpering softly while curled on the floor in a fetal position. I mean, really any song could be playing, so, I guess Wonderwall?

Just saw how I spelled "their", which I'm going pretend is a meta-joke about human fallibility.

You know who history's greatest monster is? That guy I accidentally included on my top secret group text. What a piece of shit!

I feel like this hit me way later than it should have. I'd like to believe I'm not a docile idiot, but at some point, I did have that realization that, "Oh, these are just humans doing there jobs."

There's no ointment for a broken heart, Amazon. Stand by for a class action lawsuit.

When you're born loving the Bible and the Constitution, you don't have to bother reading that shit. You just channel the freedom vibes.

Interesting! I'm kind of fascinated by nature vs nature questions. There have been some studies done that show we may be biologically predisposed toward certain political worldviews, although that's hardly uncontroversial. In any case, unquestionably, childhood shapes so much of our identities.

If only it were possible for a person to be crushed to death by an avalanche of their own deranged tweets, like a hoarder beneath a mountain of old newspapers.

I know it's hardly an original insight to observe that it's the psychology of an abuser, but I just feel like it warrants being called out again and again.

Hey, if we put all those recalled Cybertrucks in public schools, maybe the GOP would care about school shootings?

"Environmental embrittlement" is also the technical term for Musk's reaction to any form of criticism.

My theory is that most people, to some degree, spend the rest of their lives "recovering" from their childhoods. Not to say they experienced deep trauma, abuse, or terrible parenting. Just that kids are so vulnerable and impressionable that sometimes even relatively minor stuff feels huge.

What unintentionally hilarious wording.

"I've only ever destroyed lives remotely."

In the future, Elon, if you're planning to hurt us, show up at the office in person.

I always felt an unearned kinship with Canadians because, despite my copious swearing (I am from NJ, after all), I am regarded as overly polite by many Americans.

Also, SCTV and The Kids in the Hall.

It's that time of year when Canada geese start nesting on traffic islands, airport runways, the precipices of hellmouths, and all the other totally safe neighborhoods to raise a gaggle of helpless goslings.

Yeah, the only good thing about how manically reckless and destructive this administration is is that they're demonstrating how untenable they are and accelerating their own well-earned demise. But no way is this some, "Sit and wait for them to implode" situation.

Admittedly, I am kind of earnest and naive myself, but I'm shocked and deeply aggravated at what seems to be a collective shrug by much of the nation. Maybe my perception is not the reality, but still...

I've thought this, too. You could probably make checks and balances more robust to a degree, but if nobody or almost nobody has the will to enforce them...

It's a procreation cult, but humans are also disposable. This shit doesn't have to be coherent. I'd say there's less a death wish in MAGA than an absolute denial of anything the left tells them is a danger.

I just tried to follow a link in an article to this particular rule in the Office of Government Ethics and it was a little on the nose that the site told me the page couldn't be found. There was a site redesign, so it may not have been removed, but I still found it funny/not funny.
