Had deadbot technology been available when Ben died, I would have used it. Had I felt that I could conjure him in an app, I would not have needed to conjure him so forcefully in my life: through my actions and attitudes, through the stories I tell about him to the people he never got the chance to know. Ben would have been preserved, in a sense, for me, but he would have been even more absent from the world. He would be so much more dead.
That last line chills me; it makes me want to scream & rage. When people see me, they see a person with 2 children. But I have more. I lost them, and they live because I tell people about them. Others I've lost live because I tell their stories.
This isn't grief easing. This is theft of memory

Screenshot of an X.com post by The Associated Press (@AP) stating that dozens of immigrant families protested for better treatment behind fences at a Texas detention facility, where a 5-year-old Ecuadorian boy and his father were sent after being detained in Minnesota. Below is a video thumbnail showing a crowd gathered outdoors along a fenced walkway; many people wear bright blue or red outerwear, and some hold signs.
After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.

It will be a cold day in hell before download the Shop app to track my orders. Give me a damn tracking number with the postal service used.
All this consolidation and One Stop Apps cannot be good in the long run
Had such a fun session with Legends of Avantris Crooked Moon tonight! Two fights and my DM is regretting giving me an Immovable Rod
Pinned our enemy to the floor by their throat after the bard Hideously tickled them prone - and here I thought I'd end up using it as a cudgel, lol
Finally beat Horizon Zero Dawn and the Frozen Wilds DLC. Over 150 hours and all but 7 achievements. Thinking of telling my hunting friends I'm ready to go with them this deer season, lol
Now on to Forbidden West. After that South of Midnight.
Going into 2026 like
01.01.2026 06:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0News Team, Thank you for the notes and texts. I apologize for not reaching out earlier. I learned on Saturday that Bari Weiss spiked our story, INSIDE CECOT, which was supposed to air tonight. We (Ori and I) asked for a call to discuss her decision. She did not afford us that courtesy/opportunity. Our story was screened five times and cleared by both CBS attorneys and Standards and Practices. It is factually correct. In my view, pulling it now-after every rigorous internal check has been met is not an editorial decision, it is a political one. We requested responses to questions and/or interviews with DHS, the White House, and the State Department. Government silence is a statement, not a VETO. Their refusal to be interviewed is a tactical maneuver designed to kill the story. If the administration's refusal to participate becomes a valid reason to spike a story, we
have effectively handed them a "kill switch" for any reporting they find inconvenient. If the standard for airing a story becomes "the government must agree to be interviewed," then the government effectively gains control over the 60 Minutes broadcast. We go from an investigative powerhouse to a stenographer for the state. These men risked their lives to speak with us. We have a moral and professional obligation to the sources who entrusted us with their stories. Abandoning them now is a betrayal of the most basic tenet of journalism: giving voice to the voiceless. CBS spiked the Jeffrey Wigand interview due to legal concerns, nearly destroying the credibility of this broadcast. It took years to recover from that "low point." By pulling this story to shield an administration, we are repeating that history, but for political optics rather than legal ones.
We have been promoting this story on social media for days. Our viewers are expecting it. When it fails to air without a credible explanation, the public will correctly identify this as corporate censorship. We are trading 50 years of "Gold Standard" reputation for a single week of political quiet. I care too much about this broadcast to watch it be dismantled without a fight. Sharyn
