AI (artificial intelligence) requires huge data inputs, including the original intellectual property created at great expense by all content makers. US AI tech giants must compensate Copyright holders. Our Productivity Commission’s proposed AI exemption will destroy local creativity. 👇

Maybe the Greens will sit out the motion of no confidence which would mean it fails in the hope that Labor might change leader. Mr Lennon’s poodle is the problem.

Kevin You should have focused on Lib, ALP plus
DO’B. I suspect that will be the outcome until the passage of the stadium legislation.

Excellent pathways piece. I still think a liberal government with support or no confidence absence from Labor and O’Byrne until the stadium legislation is passed is a real possibility.

Putin invaded Ukraine to stop it joining NATO. Oz gov is now tying itself in knots saying pre emptive war is okay but the Ukraine invasion was wrong .
I oppose both the invasion of Ukraine and the war on Iran. I suspect I will now be accused of being consistent.

Revealed today: NACC Commissioner Paul Brereton has attended 18 formal Defence functions as Major General since July 2023 - all while supposedly independently investigating Defence corruption. He even asked the Chief of Army for a favour to keep his rank. Conflict of interest?

The reason Apple manufactures in China is b/c of YEARS of investment in vocational training there. Any effort to bring these industries onshore STARTS WITH INVESTING IN OUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM. And it will take YEARS.

It’s not about tiny hands (so stupid).

One of the world's leading rock art specialists has accused the WA government of producing "propaganda" to support its view that Woodside's controversial North West Shelf gas project should be allowed to extend, labelling government-produced documents a "disgrace to Australian science".

So @albomp.bsky.social used his thumping majority to deliver Peter Dutton’s gas policy. What a gutless nothing.

Proud day I guess for all those who worked in the campaign.

Thank god Labor won otherwise Dutton would be using nuclear right now as a pretext to extend the gas industry's life by decades...

The Prime Minister is lying to your face about selling weapons for Israel’s genocide - The Shot The hairs Albanese is splitting are on the heads of murdered Palestinians. Australia is contributing to Israel's genocide of Palestine.

The recent court documents showed that Google's internal testing demonstrated that significantly worse search results would not harm their business operations. This apparent immunity to quality concerns stems from the company's dominant market position, which the recent federal court ruling addressed.

"Since Google doesn't have any real competition, it can make the best information hard to find, forcing users to stay on Google for longer and interact with more ads," Papadimitriou said. "This is dangerous for consumers, most of whom think the best results appear first."

The strategy appears to be working from a business perspective. The study suggests that poor organic search results actually benefit Google's bottom line in two ways: they make paid advertisements more valuable to users seeking accurate information, and they force users to refine their searches multiple times, exposing them to more advertising in the process.

‘Mary, how many posts have you made about Jews today? And how many posts this week?’
What do you think explains that?

Mary’s reply text,
I don't post 'about Jews'.
The genocide 'explains that'.
Many of my posts share articles by scholars, journalists, experts and other people who happen to be Jewish and strongly object to Israel's genocide and ethnic cleansing.
The notion that criticism of apartheid
Israel and its ethnic cleansing of Palestinians is antisemitic is ***absolute bollocks***
