I found that what got me to exercise with the greatest consistency, was doing it while I watched TV after supper. Somehow, I always had time for TV.

Our small communities are our best support groups now. That’s where I draw my strength. And the community can be based on anything like what books we’re reading, or what exercises we’re doing. We don’t necessarily talk about anything heavy, but we all know somehow that we have each other‘s backs.

We’re down to the wire and we KNEW things would get bad. And they’ll get worse in the next week.

Self care looks like whatever you need it to. Talking to those you trust, extra therapy sessions, laying off the news, etc.

I just signed up for 2 more phone banking sessions this week.

This year I decided to get moving too. Mostly within classes, so that I have some kind of routine now that I’m retired. Feels good in all the ways!

100% agree. Plus not every student responds to extroverted teachers. I am betting it will be a big relief for some introverted students to see their future selves in a leadership role.
