PSA—Do not review books for the International Journal of Comparative Sociology. They asked me to review a book, I spent quite a bit of my time reading and writing it up, only for IJCS book review editor Lucas Lopez Arrastia to tell me that editors couldn't contact me, so they pulled my review. AVOID

But now I have a completed book review, which I sent off to IJCS some 8 months ago (!)... Setting aside their wildly unprofessional & unbelievable claim that "editors at SAGE had trouble getting in touch with you [so] we had to pull the review", now I'd like to send it elsewhere. Suggestions???

Don’t know about APSA in detail, but it does seem similar to the American Historical Association, which already made its choice clear when they killed the Gaza statement overwhelmingly passed by their own members. They are already on the path to compliance. Not optimistic they will turn it around
