If you see me posting here, remind me I have too many books, BluRays, DVDs, comics & games to get through to be wasting time on socials. Those backlogs aren’t going to clear themselves. Occasional maker of THINGS. @MarkSlater42 on Letterboxd (He/Him)

28.01.2026 22:18 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0That checks out.
Which would essentially confirm what I was initially checking for, that no tickets have been sold for this film.
Having four seats out of commission seems a lot in such a small auditorium, but unsurprising given how long it takes The Light to fix anything that’s broken.
Seating plan of the very small screen 2 auditorium at the Light cinema in Stockport. Two seats each to the far left of rows B and D are booked. No other seats are booked. This pattern is on display for every single screening.
Something weird is happening with bookings for ‘Melania’ at The Light Cinema in Stockport. For every screening on each day it’s showing, the same four seats are booked. Exactly the same four seats and they’re weird selections off to the side. Feels like there’s some fuckery going on.

28.01.2026 19:38 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Just watch the rip roaring TV ‘historical’ fantasy series ‘Da Vinci’s Demons’ (it’s good - not historically accurate but good) then go to Florence.

28.01.2026 12:08 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I hope I’m wrong too. Was at a governor meeting at the primary school where I’m a governor yesterday, and had a briefing with their IT lead. They’re already trying to inform 7-11 year olds on the limits and dangers of AI, because to not do so leaves a vacuum.

28.01.2026 11:56 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0It absolutely is - listed as Powerhouse Films.

I expect the governments offer of free training will eventually extend to the under-16s. I fully expect to see it appear on the national curriculum before long.

My Gen Z kids loved Harry Potter, books and films, when they were younger. Wand toys, studio visit, the lot. Now they don’t give a shiny shit about it because JKR is a hateful bigot, and neither do I. Got two primo unopened editions of ‘Beedle The Bard’ I bought in 2008 that I now need to eBay.
