07.10.2025 00:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Wait, is the Oregon one pronounced differently?
07.10.2025 00:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I don't know what side mission this was supposed to be from, but I'm devastated it was cut from RDR2.
07.10.2025 00:12 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Damn that's a deep cut
07.10.2025 00:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I mean I had to literally beat up a MAGA guy on the train last week and it was a shockingly easy fight.
06.10.2025 19:10 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Exactly!
And also, you can get away with horrendous shit if you make everyone's day-to-day life a little bit better. But everyone's day-to-day life is getting considerably worse, and that's directly attributable to Trump's policies.
I feel so much better about our current situation, I mean.
The people in charge right now are just flat out are too stupid to pull off the kind of fascism that they want to. Everything that they're doing is the opposite of what has worked in the past.
This is going to sound weird, so bear with me. Unsurprisingly, I go down historical rabbit holes from time to time, and for the last couple of weeks I've been obsessively reading/watching documentaries about the Holocaust and the rise of German fascism in general. And I feel so much better from it.
06.10.2025 19:01 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Not even joking, we need people in these cities who grew up in their home states talking to them, cause that's going to make it much harder for them to "other" people.
Bitch about Brian Schottenheimer for 10 minutes with a dude from Mineral Wells and then ask him why he's there.
Hockey city itself (Mobile)
06.10.2025 13:35 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Though at this point, and trust me I do not usually argue for shit like this, the best thing is probably for straight white liberal people to talk with them gently and just make them feel bad. "You signed up to protect your country, is this really what you wanted to do?" and etc.
06.10.2025 13:32 β π 9 π 0 π¬ 4 π 0If I'm being honest, one of the reasons we're looking to leave New York is that there's absolutely no way I wouldn't provoke the random National Guard idiots when they inevitably came to my neighborhood.
06.10.2025 13:29 β π 12 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0My boomer relatives: it's so weird that you talk to your six-month old in full sentences like she can understand you.
Also my boomer relatives, months later: How does she speak so well?! She's not even two. She must be naturally gifted!
Subbed for a cabaret singer today - usually these gigs I go on autopilot and don't listen the singer other than to follow them, but she caught me with "New Words", the 2nd greatest song ever about being a parent.Thank God it was all dotted half notes for the bass cause playing through tears is hard.

05.10.2025 22:03 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Got to midtown early for a rehearsal and decided to grab lunch. Not only is this possibly the best burger in New York, everything in this bar is at 2018 prices.

05.10.2025 17:33 β π 14 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It is absolutely wild how the Philadelphia Eagles have completely overhauled their public image over the last 5 years.

05.10.2025 13:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0McCoy was absolutely dissecting that defense before he went down, and even without him, it was a one-score game until the goofiest, luckiest interception of the season.
There is no doubt in my mind Texas wins that game with Colt.
Actually it's even funnier... the only Star Wars universe movie that I've seen is The Ewok Adventure, which I LOVED as a kid.
05.10.2025 12:35 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Somehow I missed seeing them as a kid, and then by the time I was 11 or 12 I knew I just didn't really like sci-fi, so I never went back to them.
05.10.2025 12:29 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I have never seen a Star War.
05.10.2025 12:26 β π 11 π 0 π¬ 2 π 02009 > 2010 was one of the more profound power shifts we've seen in recent history. Even with Bama and Oregon rising, the safe money at the start of 2010 for long-term success would still have been Florida/Texas/Oklahoma.
05.10.2025 02:07 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I was rooting for y'all. But a good joke is a good home.
05.10.2025 01:45 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I don't know, I remember the general thought at the time was that Texas was set up to compete for titles for the next decade. With all due respect to Penn State, I don't think anyone thought that about them before tonight.
05.10.2025 01:36 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That UCLA team was probably marginally better than this UCLA team, but that Texas program also had higher expectations than this Penn State program.
05.10.2025 01:30 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 1 π 02010 Texas was coming off a national championship appearance that they would have won if not for a fluke accident. They were ranked #7, Garrett Gilbert was still top 10 in Heisman odds, and Mack Brown was still considered a top 3 coach in the league at worst.
You'll never guess who they lost to.
Florida clearly saw an orange UT led by a Manning and was like "oh fuck yeah we know how to win against this"
04.10.2025 23:41 β π 104 π 7 π¬ 7 π 3Ryan Adams is why I have no patience for "you can separate the art from the artist" people. I was a *huge* fan for years, and I have listened to him exactly once since the NYT story dropped - cause Oh My Sweet Carolina was playing at the drugstore.
