Gender neutral means male. Women can wear male clothes or assume certain male roles in society because patriarchy ensures that male coded things are acceptable. It’s when men take on female roles or wear women’s clothing that society freaks out, because female is inferior.

If they’re erasing the images and stories of enslaved people, then they better be erasing the wealth and infrastructure those same people built and created. And the “successes” and prestige of those who were slave holders.

Violence against civilians is never okay. Political violence — no matter who is hurt — will always beget worse political violence. And it has no place in our country.

Horrific to hear that Charlie Kirk was shot today in Utah. Political violence must be always and totally rejected. Praying for him and all who may have been injured or impacted.

Friends, there are plenty of things RFK Jr. says and does that are worthy of contempt.

I am not on board with the “addict”, “junkie”, “heroin freak” narrative.

There are plenty of people in recovery who never go on to be sociopathic frauds, and they are worthy of our love and support.

Our explanatory models for death are predominated by scientific facts. They ignore the social, economic, political causes of death. Cause of death tends not to say, for example, BBB, but maybe it ought to if that more accurately reflects the world we live in. We need more social epidemiology.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.
