First, the UCP said there was an “election integrity crisis," which led to a voter ID law.
Then a “national unity crisis” → a sovereignty referendum.
Now a “crisis of confidence” in the courts → defunding judges.
There is no evidence of these crises.
The UCP is trying to manufacture them.

President Trump now says it was Attorney General Pam Bondi who insisted DNI Tulsi Gabbard attend the FBI raid in Georgia. Last night, he told NBC he didn't know why she was there. And Gabbard said in a letter to Congress that "the president specifically directed my observance of the execution of the Fulton County search warrant."
I want to reiterate that this shit is nuts. A federal invasion of state-run elections, an intelligence community invasion of federal law enforcement, a White House invasion of a criminal investigation, and a president’s insane treasonable sore loser obsession all rolled up and muddled together.

"Map of Alberta" for some probably solar panel scam but the map of Alberta and pretty much all the labels are wrong and/or in the wrong place.
I love this shitty map of Alberta. @terriblemapshq.bsky.social

There’s no force quite like the confidence of someone who believes they’ve been wronged.

Ignoring for a moment the feasibility of actually separating, I genuinely don’t understand the 18% who think there’s a version of this where they leave Canada and don’t become Puerto Rico North about five minutes later. It's a truly impressive amount of delusion.

You’re right about that. There have been a few concerts lately where I looked for tickets just to confirm the prices were as crazy as I expected.

They’ve made money like mad the last two seasons. I changed seats a couple years ago to avoid some of the price increase. The seats I had were $92 a game in 2023/24. Two seasons later they’re $114. And everything else in the building has gone up similarly.

FansFirst - By Fans. For Fans. No Fees.
Buy NHL tickets in CAD$ without fees and markups. No fees means saving 18%-40% compared to other ticket sites.
Resale ticket prices are the canary in the coal mine. Check FansFirst. You can get in the door for $110 tonight. That’s a Saturday night game with almost no markup. There are games in March already listed below face value. Three years ago, you’d have never seen that.

It’s wild how expensive it’s gotten. Through the eternal rebuild, even though they were an awful team, I always felt like there was value. It was worth the cost. In the last decade they’ve made sure to take all that value and put it in their pockets, and that’s going to burn them eventually.

I say this as someone going to the game tonight and genuinely looking forward to it. I’ll probably buy just one beer though. Never any food. I don’t buy merchandise anymore. And the only reason I’m even considering renewing my tickets next year is Connor McDavid. I don’t think I’m alone in that.
31.01.2026 21:21 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0
That probably looks good on the bottom line in the short term, but it destroys the relationship with the fan base. When things change on the ice, and eventually things will change (McDavid won’t be here forever), I expect they’ll regret chasing those short-term gains.

I’m a little surprised the Oilers aren’t lower on the affordability list. Under Katz, the team has adopted a policy of treating fans like ATMs.

We should talk more about Stephen Miller’s belief that he is a historian. Anybody can be one. But he’s really, *really* bad at it.
He is sitting atop prosperity, cultural dynamism, and scientific advancement created by more than ten generations of immigration. His very existence proves him wrong.

I’ve been to so many concerts and beer gardens where I got a crappy paper wristband as proof of entry. And I’ve judged many crooked paper wristbands at those events. Wristbands were one of my volunteer jobs at our girls gymnastics meet this morning and I now wish to retract all previous judgments.

that the president is a rapidly decaying lunatic is the worst kept secret in the world right now
when It Happens, we are going to get countless accounts about how bad it was and how everyone knew and it's absolute malpractice that the same media that went full court press on Biden Old ignores it

Calling it an “anti-American, anti-Trump message” is an interesting way to describe responding to threats against our country’s sovereignty. Carney didn’t say anything new in Davos, but the whole world was listening, and that appears to have landed squarely in Trump’s feelings.
