So does he think a tariff is like an ... invoice, and the other country has to pay the U.S. the amount on the invoice? And this is what the SCOTUS decision will not allow him to do?
I know it's a fool's errand, but I'm just trying to figure out how he is conceptualizing all this.

βAs to Sanders "jumping in," which of the two ran in 2016? Because it wasn't both of them.
18.02.2026 05:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0
Also, progressives supported Sanders because he is, in fact, more progressive than Warren. Warren started out as a Republican, and considered herself a capitalist. Sanders is clearly more progressive than Warren on a number of important issues, including Medicare for All and immigration.

As to the left having a problem with sexism -- AOC, Rashida Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar all back Sanders. Are you saying that those three are sexist?
18.02.2026 05:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0
Would that be the dirtbag left that is supporting AOC for president? Either after a stint as a Senator, or even in 2029?
18.02.2026 04:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0
Really, Warren should have dropped out and endorsed Sanders at that point. I think it is fair to say that it was she who split the ticket and took away the chance for a progressive to be the nominee. I actually think it was shameful what she did.

Also, where do you get that she was "doing fine"? Sanders won the NH primary and the Nev caucus, and was polling well leading up to Super Tuesday. 2/3
17.02.2026 00:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0
She was "in the 2020" and he "jumped in"? Where do you get that from? Warren announced her candidacy on 2/9 and Sanders announced his on 2/19. Do you think her announcement on 2/9 meant that she called dibs on the progressive slot for the primaries? 1/3

(I will, however, continue to call him.)

That's simply not true. For a spending bill, the Senate needs 60 votes.

Oh, please. It would take me ten minutes tops to come up with the bullshit answers the administration would give to these questions if asked in, say, a congressional hearing.
This is a waste of time. We have all the answers we need to demand that ICE be abolished, right now. Enough with the games.

Has no one ever told him that those tests screen for dementia, and are in no way IQ tests? Or do they tell him and he just doesn't want to hear it, so he chooses not to believe them?
15.01.2026 01:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0
Okay, yeah, but this does not go far enough. They should refuse to fund ICE, period. There should be no ICE. Time to get rid of it altogether.

JFC, what an idiot.
Also, he's the only reason I have not left the Democratic party. He's my senator, and I can't wait to vote against him. And in New York, I can only do that if I am a registered Democrat.

I had the same thought. I think that in the judge's mind the question was more "should the government prevail on these two issues" and the answer to that is clearly "no."
