Neither funny nor fun. Honestly not sure why you’d follow me. Anybody upset about pronouns in a bio deserves to be upset (he/him).

So much of right wing media just generates outrage about nonsense, I would love liberal leaders whose posture was like "I'll give you something real to cry about." Instead of "Mr Potato Head Is Muslim??" I want them freaking out about a 90% inheritance tax

All joking aside, this sucks out loud and the American public deserves public servants who don’t use the bully pulpit for unpaid influencer advert bullshit.

Reminder that in 2021, Senate Republicans filibustered a bill that would have banned partisan gerrymandering of congressional districts.

I struggle to articulate how lawless and authoritarian this would be. There is *ZERO* basis for federal criminal jurisdiction here. There is *ZERO* evidence to support bribery charges. This would be a monumental, unprecedented escalation. It would take us to a uniquely dangerous place.

We are closer to the precipice than people realize. Remember, Cornyn is asking *Kash Patel* and *Dan Bongino* to arrest Democrats. How long until other Rs start asking for Ds to be arrested in other contexts? How long do norms hold at the FBI?

An excerpt from a Cracked.com column by Daniel O’Brien in 2011.

“Sleazy, morally bankrupt and at-one-time just-regular-bankrupt Donald Trump. He wanted to be President Trump, even though "trump," as a word, sounds like it should be slang for that sometimes flabby part of the body where the under-ass rubs up against the back of the leg.
Like, "We were making out behind the shed at the mini-golf place and I was grabbin' her butt, but I had to quit because this chick had mad trump-sweat. It was gross." He said he wanted to run for president.”

Especially frustrating because no nickname is as devastating as his actual, legal name, which was pointed out here in fucking 2011:

the USA built a system of higher education so good that smart/rich people from across the world came here, spending billions to learn here, subsidizing education for Americans while spending money to live in our cities and towns. our government arbitrarily decided we should stop doing that

Not particularly. Every major streaming service offers “competitive” compensation for artists.

Which is to say, they’re all kind of bad about that. They aren’t trying to appeal to artist, they’re trying to appeal to listeners, so artist compensation isn’t very important to any of them.

I kinda think the way people use ChatGPT is sort of aspirational because it seems to emulate the way rich people have sycophants lying to them all the time until they lose touch with reality and also their entire minds

It's really weird to demand accountability from a NYC mayoral candidate for a deadly NYC shooting rather than the current NYC mayor, an ex-cop who campaigned on a "tough on crime" platform and promptly got indicted for crimes

In other words, a robust, respected, well-paid, well-staffed bureaucracy is the key to accomplishing large-scale public works project on time and under budget.

Cutting public agencies to the bone & farming out their responsibilities to the private sector *doesn't work*.

I don’t pay much attention to “celebrity politics” stuff, so I’m not aware of anything concrete about her either way.

Occasional reminder that Joe Walsh’s “turn away” from conservative politics is just a bitter reaction over Donald Trump being a more successful demagogue.

The INSTANT Walsh thinks he can profitably be right wing shithead again, he’s going to.

NOTHING about his politics suggests otherwise to me.

That being said, fascists fucking LOVE a veneer of plausible deniability, so even if it was a mistake the ad people really built something that appeals to them specifically.

I do think this is all made somewhat murkier by the fact that not too long ago open and explicit white nationalist were using similar language about Sweeney specifically in online spaces.

I don’t recall Sweeney making any direct statements at that time, but she has had some baggage thrust upon her.

And his pitch of “just sit in a room with an unloaded weapon aimed at a wall and practice squeezing the trigger for 30 minutes a day” didn’t make the hobby any more appealing.

He got kind of offended that this wasn’t appealing to me.
