Once you’ve donated stem cells your body regenerates those cells within a couple of weeks.

You can even donate again! (Though depending on location and situation this can be restricted to no more than a couple of times.)

Donating stem cells can be a small surgery or it may be more like giving blood 🩸. It depends what the recipient needs and the age of the donor. Umbilical cord blood can also be used.
