Too late for Animal Crossing New Horizons?
13.10.2025 20:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Just literally saw one.
13.10.2025 16:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Feel like I never see Nintendo Switch in public any more.
13.10.2025 16:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I met a mother last week who asked "oh, like the film?" And she reflected that it was very visually interesting or something along those lines. So yeah we will definitely give it a spin. We'd always known it was perhaps not one to say we'd "named her after"!
13.10.2025 07:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As someone who named his now 17 month old daughter Marnie, I do feel rather neglectful that I've still not watched it! In our defence the name sort of floated in via a few other soundalike names and the novel/Ghibli adaptation of When Marnie Was There. But we must watch it soon!
13.10.2025 05:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0& the moon (1 night from full) climbs out & into cloudbank, autumn skies do slow dusk drama (shotguns are rapping, all knuckle on bartop) & rubbery engines of pheasants: there is a thrush decaying to pixels & a heron you mistake for a kite; guns pause, tawny owls open up
06.10.2025 18:13 β π 33 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0βIf you keep confusing the web with the internet I am going to kill and kill againβ
02.10.2025 14:15 β π 68 π 7 π¬ 1 π 0Tiny ghost child staring at me from the wrong side of the tube thanks to a Peaky Blinders poster π±
02.10.2025 07:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A section of an OS map showing Hartwell House with the surrounding fields and waterways. A line marked βrifle rangeβ runs diagonally across the image with the length of different sections given in yards.
Here's a curiosity on a first edition Ordnance Survey map of Hartwell: a rifle range going out 800 yards through fields!
01.10.2025 07:30 β π 22 π 5 π¬ 0 π 0A screenshot of typepad.com with a headline reading "Typepad is closed for business!Thank you for being a valued customer." There are two placeholders for missing images above that.
TypePad has not only closed but already has broken images on its "Bye!" page
01.10.2025 07:31 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 1 π 1Emailed nominet to see how far back their archives go. π₯Ί
01.10.2025 08:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh I know! We have recently had a much better track record on this front... Without wishing to jinx it...
25.09.2025 12:15 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Much love to the baby, who - somehow - knew that I'd misaligned my phone on the wireless charging pad last night, which meant it had died, meaning my alarm would not sound, and who woke us by screaming precisely one minute before said alarm was due to sound. Incredible.
25.09.2025 09:47 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0You beat us by about three months!
24.09.2025 10:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh shit I just remembered FIP which I haven't actually listened to in ages but is so good as a background, stick it on whenever you like station. French announcers but an incredibly eclectic playlist.
22.09.2025 17:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I've found so many great shows on NTS - I started with one or two specific shows (early breakfast is usually great for ambient quiet moods) and you can search the website for an artist you like and see who plays them and go from there.
21.09.2025 19:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A fine thing indeed
19.09.2025 11:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Picked a good new music release day to take off work and do decorating prep: big brooding pulsating synthy Nine Inch Nails Tron soundtrack pairs nicely with palm sander drone.
19.09.2025 10:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is a brilliant article about how the Rik Mayall Nintendo ads came about. www.timeextension.com/features/how...
18.09.2025 10:28 β π 66 π 22 π¬ 2 π 0I kind of love how there's a direct through-line from Gerling's Hot Computer to Ninajirachi's Fuck My Computer π¦πΊβ₯οΈπ₯οΈ
18.09.2025 07:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I have only just discovered Ninajirachi and I fucking love her. The only problem is I can't seem to turn it up loud enough???
18.09.2025 07:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0All journalists should bend the knee to the work of the obituarist, the one discipline which enables the practitioner to get a byline from beyond the grave. Ronald Bergen predeceased his subject Robert Redford by 5 years, but left behind a truly masterful obit.

I know it's already a meme, but last two days I've had my own example of AI answering a call from an AI
17.09.2025 16:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The iMac G3 from 2001 is my favourite-looking computer of all time, but it's completely unusable these days because of its age.
So I tore out its insides (leaving the CRT screen intact of course) and replaced them with a brand new Mac Mini M4.
Hadnt heard of it and am delighted about Hastings inspiring some of its art! The video looks cool, looking forward to watching in full β€οΈ
12.09.2025 13:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Sorry if you've already answered this but is all this just a bit extra curricular or are you readying a new Even Dirtier Feed of blue movie reviews? Either way I'm loving it and, um, keep it up (so to speak)!
12.09.2025 09:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0My musings in Sept 2025's The Spectrum Monitor: "Chrissy logged more than two thousand miles behind the wheel of her colorful camping van to discover more radio programs as amazingly diverse as the scenery that appeared along the way."

60% of the novelty of the OIRT band is imagining the station jingles singing the rather lumpy-sounding frequency in the style of 80s and 90s pop music station.
11.09.2025 08:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I finally wrote up a little post that mentions my first OIRT band reception I was lucky enough to get while visiting Cyprus this summer, amongst other things
