People want identity shortcuts for "who is worth listening to" and "which ideas are correct" and I implore you all to abandon that impulse, because that's not the world we live in.

Listen to the marginalized because our voices are erased, but also... think. Judge by word and deed.

What gets me about the AI thing is that if you say anything against it people always jump to "new technology always has its detractors" and completely ignore you going "I have seen the material outputs of this technology and it mostly seems to be pollution and suicides"

i hate how people and even literature sometimes reduces the concept of an unreliable narrator to 'the book lying to you', not 'you are viewing the world through the eyes of someone who does not see an absolute truth'

Literally every single phenomenon we can observe or measure has a finite duration, and every living thing we've ever observed dies, and yet some people are really out here like "that's an engineering problem" because they're cowards about the obvious conclusion.

Let’s talk about real power dynamics. About disposability. *Who* is receiving critique? What is the content of the critique they are receiving? Are there certain standards being applied unevenly, and which people are being marginalized? How is that marginalization achieved in social space?
