The serious answer to the “trans debate” in the UK is “well the cats out the bag now like it or lump it”. You’re appeasing paranoid control freaks who will see anyone gender non-conforming as one of them nebulous transes, any butch women or feminine man is now a target for cranks.

You get some magic from that like how Breaking Bad adapted with how Jesse worked well and Mike worked in one appearance. Plus it’s fun to see how shows could changed when they don’t have the threat of cancellation hanging over them at the end of the season.

To be fair after Jimmy Carr’s recent podcast tours I’ve just written him off as a massive midwit who doesn’t understand the consequences of anything.

I might be underestimating how right wing they are but it’s opening a door to reintroduce this discrimination in way more jobs than they realise.

I understand why it came about but theres no valid reason why it didn’t get abolished in the late 90’s/early 2000’s and now because the fee itself has become politically contentious (mostly through crackpots) it’s never going away.

The universe it’s made is better than any of the movies.

You really aren’t missing much….

Also (and controversially) it’s first three seasons are incredibly good and as a whole it’s very easy to watch. I do admit there are very valid criticisms as a whole etc.
