I'd like to know more about how exactly they derived that headline finding - the report says "According to this study, 22% of respondents with children under four years old do not read for joy, which we can interpret as not being read to." This interpretation seems to be doing some heavy lifting

In conclusion

✅ Ongoing efforts to improve stroke prevention are crucial to ensure sustainability of stroke care in Ireland

We found that future need for stroke care will depend on whether stroke risk continues to decline or not, and at what rate.

Even in the most optimistic scenario, need for stroke care will increase, especially for poststroke dementia.

In a pessimistic scenario, need could increase by 50%.
