It does not stop us for trying though ๐
I've been trying to find my way into the gamedev scene but it is much harder than I thought ๐ฅบ
that being said, let's make what we like and be happy ๐
Get some rest.
A new adventure awaits! ๐๐

It is fun right!
Yeah I guess you're right ๐
They do not say exactly where to put things.
Anyway, best of luck ! ๐
Nice !!!
I followed a good portion of the learn opengl book, which is surprisingly good for learning ๐
Good luck ! ๐๐
Finally, my small mushroom #roguelike has levels!
Made this small BSP tree procedural generation system inspired by the generation on Path of Exile
Still a lot to be done but very happy with the initial results!
Oh, also made this ruins spawn thingy

Very cool !! ๐

He travels thoughout the land, rolling his poop, and selling items!
Made him to be an enemy but just... look at him.
He's such a nice guy!

I want to make it so bad !!!
It looks stunning !!
Why make volumetrics if we can fake it ? ๐
I say go for it !! All engines have pros and cons. Once you choose one, I'm guessing Unreal, stick with it if you like it ๐๐
Remember in the end it is just a tool, you're the one making games and making games is supposed to be fun ๐
Good luck ! ๐
My only thing about unreal is that it is too much!
It takes some time to master, since it has way too many tools for all kinds of things.
Also build sizes are super large, so we cannot really make a small game.
Unreal is amazing. It's such an outstanding tool. Blueprints are simply ๐. The graphics control is also top notch
Unity is the only one I cannot recommend ๐
but it gets the job done ๐
Learning blender also comes with challenges. Modelling, texturing, retopology, a lot to learn but all worth it !
That's absolutely fine!
A fresh start is good.
I just regret spending so much time doing that ๐
so I wanted to help a bit
Good luck !! ๐
When I started I switched engines 3 times ๐
.
As I result I still did not release anything. YET
I changed a ton due to insecurity and people saying x is better than y.
I don't know if it's my place to speak but use the one you like ๐ if it makes games then it's all good. I personally like Godot
Working on my Mushroom Roguelike!
Made some needed changes to combat ! โ๐โจ
It feels so much better!
Also, it's my first time here. Let's get along ! ๐
