Late 90s/early 2ks in my area there seemed to be just a huge number of young people in Jettas driving like they stole it. I don't think it was universal.

I have noticed that the "jackass driver who has no idea what they're doing" that has moved from various car archetypes in my life (Jettas, BMWs, Escalades, huge GMC trucks) has seemed to shift to Teslas lately.

Actually, I'll expand. I've been a voter since December 1995. This is not a new issue. And volunteering for a party I'm not a member of while living in a deep blue dot in a wildly gerrymandered state is not going to fix the broken-ness of the US political system.
