Five oak boards strapped down in the (messy) boot of a car

Three stacks of profiled oak shelves, thirty in all, on a work bench; each has a 3mm by 47mm rebate routed in and edges rounded over. Also on the bench: a combination square, tape measure, gloves, and a random orbital sander.

finally a bit of #woodworking and a lot of sawdust in the thread. Oak shelves made, rebated so they sit flush with the steel support, rounded over, and in this second photo just awaiting final sanding

now, over the course of this week, to add 4 coats of danish oil & a top coat of wax 🧵/7

A handmade cat bed - shaped kinda like if PacMan was extruded. It is made from pine with the interior and exterior top lined with carpet. A padded cushion sits in the bottom. A box of Felix brand cat food is inside, also due for donation because our cat routinely decides he doesn't like a brand the moment we buy a tonne of it.

another #handmade cat bed going to Cheltenham Animal Shelter (Gardners Lane) today. I think they sold the last one in their shop rather than use in the shelter so if you want this one maybe throw them wads of cash and/or adopt a cat/dog/bunny
