Any time a politician says we should leave the ECHR, the very next questions any interviewer should ask are
๐จWhich human rights are you willing to lose personally
๐จWhich methods of torture are you going to allow people to be sent to face
๐จWhich family members would you be willing to lose

Horrific about the murderous attack on worshippers at the synagogue in Manchester. Reminds me of the attack on two mosques in my hometown in 2019. I am thinking of the victims and all Jewish people and hope our society can unite across religious and political diferences for safety and protection.

Fifty branches, representing over 36% of UCU members, have now called for @drjogrady.bsky.social to enter unconditional negotiations & remove the threat of punitive deductions against staff.
Unite's repeated requests for such talks have had no response. Will she now listen to @ucu.org.uk members?
Do you still endorse the sexual predator candidate?

The free speech activist who built a list of professors he worked to get fired for their speech must be celebrated for his support of free speech, and anyone who quotes his speech accurately in context will be fired and/or face state punishment by the champions of free speech, do I have that right?

Text explains that he was a main target of the โGroyper Warsโ for debating Jewish or queer people, and Groypers tried to derail his debates. * Bottom left panel: **Groyper the Frog**, a variation of โPepe,โ wearing a suit and holding a coffee mug. Text explains that Groypers use progressive symbols like the protest song โBella Ciaoโ to disguise their real beliefs. * Bottom right panel: Close-up of a face with a dark background. 07.09.2025 22:05 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Rogue intimidating behaviour like deducting pay for ASOS is indeed unfair, unprofessional, & a deliberate act of escalation, whether done by senior managers of a university, college, or union.
Itโs consistent with behaviour of employers who donโt want resolution for their staff & those they work for
Jo Grady: โ...these deductions are immoral, counterproductive, and have no place in our universities. UCEA and vice-chancellors need to stop with the bully-boy tactics which are damaging to staff, students, and the international reputation of UK higher education.โ

Jo Grady calling Queen Mary management "vindictive" for making deductions from UCU members taking action short of a strike: Jo Grady, UCU's general secretary, said Queen Mary's senior management had "launched a vindictive attack" on its members, "punishing them for taking part in lawful industrial action" and "cementing its reputation as the worst university employer in the UK" She said: "It is wrong to do this at any time and all the more deplorable as staff struggle to make ends meet in a cost of living crisis."
