If it makes you feel any better - it was about 5 weeks to break free of the injury/recovery cycle for my IT band and was back upto 60+ mile weeks 3 months after starting PT

Make sure to keep running. IT bands wonβt heal if not used. Tendons and ligaments need activity to heal - just below the threshold of injury.
When I was in a injury/recovery cycle one of the things the PT helped me to do was find that threshold and stay below it while fixing my mechanics

Did an easy z2 run - there was a fair bit of z1 in there too, legs were pretty tired
Ran the numbers and feeling stoked - z2 pace down almost 30sec/mi from last year this time
