2 Because she doesn't want to get her supervisor in trouble by asking for ad hoc telework (which is surely justifiable), she is using sick leave. The process of asking for reasonable accommodation is lengthy and not worthwhile in this situation. Just sharing all the impacts, large and small

(1) Because of the RTO (return to office) order, a friend of mine returned (while her entire team is still home-for now). Then she broke her toe. It's at least an 8 minute walk from the garage to her office (and will be farther after 3/17).

Can confirm. Also, tons of time spent figuring out where the hell they're going to put everyone when they all return to in person work on 3/17. I know there's not enough parking to accommodate even half of the people that have to return-it's going to be chaos. Plus nightmarish traffic.

I'm all for booing the US rn, but also I'm concerned that international traveling will become scary as Americans (when MANY of us are horrified by what's happening, obvs myself included!!)

We got an emergency purchase through but everything else is still frozen. And now the cuts to staff have begun... We're losing the brightest and hardest working people.

Also, I want to point out that MANY of these "probationary" people actually have years of experience in their roles, but were just recently converted from being contractors to full time employees. Huge loss to the federal workforce!
