I've written plenty about the problems of poltiical media - particularly when it comes to how policy is reported.

But what are they supposed to do with today? Pretend Streeting and Rayner aren't doing anything? That no one resigned? That Sarwar didn't call for him to quit?

Getting really tired of "this is all a media concoction"...

Starmer has the lowest approval rating of any PM in history bar Truss. Senior ministers are openly and unsubtly positioning. His Chief of Staff, Director of Comms and Cab Sec have all resigned on the same day.

This convo has been had so many times but it’s worth repeating - most left wing people in 2026 are progressives who aren’t keen on things like Reformy style immigration policies or cuts to welfare for disabled ppl.

This is exactly it. On essentially every issue, this Labour government is either too leftwing - a bunch of anti-business measures that nobody cares about, an infrastructure binge at a time when it should want downward pressure on rates, etc. etc. - or too rightwing (as set out below).
