Massage therapist I've been going to for years switched locations. From my house it's 30 minutes by car. Taking the CTA it's an hour and a half.
There's so much potential to make transit an attractive option for people.

Friend's baby shower will be in the burbs. Location is 7 miles from my place. By car it's 30 minutes. By transit it's over an hour🙃

There are a lot of reasons we did not win today, and we will in the coming days have much more to say about what happened and what’s next.

But for now, we want to say thank you.

City planners did all the overdone outreach process, got told everyone supports bus lanes, didn’t like that outcome so they opted for a closed door private meeting with the 4 people who didn’t like bus lanes and said we must cancel them

This is called reverse engineering

Nothing moves large numbers of people across a major city quite as well as public transit.

But cycling can provide some relief when transit is down. It can fill in many of the gaps.
